The location of the cottages is fantastic, surrounded by beautiful countryside and offering a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. the owner of the cottages is friendly and accommodating, providing fresh flowers and milk as lovely little extras. the kitchen in some of the cottages is well-equipped, with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine available.
Some of the cottages may be a bit dated and in need of updating, with cramped kitchens and beds that may not be suitable for taller individuals.

I stayed at Valley Cottages for 10 nights and it was perfect for my needs. The self-catering option gave me the freedom I wanted and the hot water supply was great. The clean cotton bedding added a nice touch of comfort, and the location was quiet and peaceful. I loved being able to easily access the local area and use the cottages as a base for further travels. The host was friendly and helpful, and the accommodation was clean, warm, and had everything I needed. One of the highlights for me was being greeted every morning by the peacocks, and the bonus of free logs for the fire added to the cozy atmosphere of the place. I would definitely return to this wonderful family-owned business.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

There is no dishwasher available in the cottages, which could be a slight inconvenience for those who prefer not to spend time doing dishes.

The welcome pack was a lovely touch, with fresh flowers, chocolates, and Welsh milk waiting for us. the cottage was clean and tidy, with plenty of room and comfortable beds. the remote location offered breathtaking views of the hilly valley and a peaceful atmosphere. We loved having our own private garden with a table to enjoy the scenery. the Wi-Fi was a bonus, especially for the teens. the converted stable block had all the amenities we needed, including a well-equipped kitchen and a log fire. Close enough to local spots with a car, it was the perfect base for exploring the area.
We would have loved a second shower to accommodate our family of four more comfortably. the largest saucepan was not big enough to cook a 500gm bag of pasta, which was a bit inconvenient.

The host of the cottages was incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to assist us during our stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the clean and warm accommodation, making it a cozy place to come back to after a long day of exploring. One of the highlights was being greeted every morning by the beautiful peacocks roaming around the area. We also appreciated the fact that there were free logs provided for the fireplace, adding an extra touch to the cozy atmosphere.
There wasn't much going on around the area, with limited local attractions and a not-so-great experience at the nearby pub. It was also a bit inconvenient that there were no shops within walking distance, requiring us to travel quite a bit to find decent options.
